Did you know the Muscatine High School Bands held its first
meeting on December 10th, 1911? Today we are still promoting and
supporting our musical students and the Muskie Band Boosters are proud
to announce the establishment of the Band Booster Scholarship Endowment. For
many years the Muskie Band Boosters have offered scholarships to graduating
seniors of the Muscatine High School Band.
The Band Boosters need your help developing this fund so that we can continue
to support the MHS graduates that further their education and stay involved in
band or color guard at the college level. Band teaches important lessons in
leadership, responsibility, goal setting, endurance, and more. Each year MHS band students use these life
lessons as they move on to college.
Contributing to the
Scholarship Endowment ensures that your gift provides revenue for band
scholarships FOREVER. Your gift to the Band Scholarship Endowment is never
spent. Rather, it is invested and each
year the earnings are used to fund the scholarship program for future
generations. When you donate to the Muscatine Band Boosters Endowment at the
Community Foundation of Greater Muscatine, you’re not only helping the
graduating students—you’re building a stronger community tomorrow. While that
in itself is rewarding - with Endow Iowa, you’ll be eligible to receive a 25%
state tax credit for each donation, in addition to any federal tax benefits you
may qualify for.
